Soon, a passenger ferry will run between Batumi and Port of Constanța in Romania. As Shalva Tsakadze, the managing partner of the project implementing company E60 Shipping Line, stated, passenger transportation is planned to start by late summer of this year.

"Work on the issue is actively underway, and now the ship selection process is underway. So far, the exact number is not known, how many passengers the passenger ferry will accommodate, however, the demand for this route is quite high, therefore, a large capacity ship will be selected", - Shalva Tsakadze explained.

As for the cargo ships that move in the direction of Poti and Constanța, they actually operate at full capacity.

To be reminded, the cargo was transported to the direction between the Ports of Poti and Constanța in June 27, 2023.
